The libertadores cup is about to start. The two Mexican clubs have a chance to show that what Cruz Azul did last year, by reaching the final against Boca Juniors was not the end but only the beginning. This time its also going to harder because Americas and Morelia are going to be the representatives for Mexico. In the eyes of Mexico they are not as good as Cruz Azul is. The two Mexican clubs feel that after what Cruz Azul did last year. They are obligated to reach at least the semifinals. If they don't even reach that far it would just be a disappointment.

America was placed in a though group. With River Plate, Talleres and Tulua. America would need to win all three of their home games and grab one point in their away games to advance. The games where they are going to have a tough time, will be against River Plate and Talleres. The reason is because they have great players and are two of the best clubs in Argentina. Against Tulua they will have an easy time. Tulua is not really a good team. America will have the advantage in their two strikers Ivan "EL BANBAN" Zamorano and "EL MATADOR" Luis Hernandez. The battle for second place will be fought between Talleres and Mexico. With no problem River Plate will grab the top spot.

Morelia one of the up coming clubs in Mexico. They were placed in group 5 with Velez Sarsfield, Nacional and Sporting Cristal. All of this clubs are equal. This is going to make it tougher for Morelia to advance. This will also be the first International competition for Morelia. Could this be a fator, only time will tell.
